FORTER

Regional Sales Director (Southern Europe)

mar 2024 - present

Forter provides real-time decisions for e-commerce merchants to prevent fraud and optimize payments. I lead the Southern Europe team (4 AEs, 2 SDRs, 1 partner manager, 1 field marketing specialist).

Challenge: European e-merchants already view 3DSecure as a reliable fraud prevention tool. The goal is to demonstrate the added value of Forter in conversion and payment efficiency.

Strategy: Target top 40 e-commerce companies from the global top 500, including Auchan, Kering, LVMH, etc., and leverage strategic partnerships.

CHECKOUT.COM

Head of Sales (France/Italy/Belgium)

jul 2021 - mar 2024 (3 years)

Checkout.com is a payment solutions provider for e-commerce merchants. I began as an Account Executive to learn the product, then led the sales team (5 AEs, 3 BDRs), represented the company at industry events, and managed relationships with consulting firms (PwC, EY, Oaklen, etc.).

Challenge: A saturated market with high-end competitors (Adyen, Stripe) offering advanced features, alongside less effective but lower-priced solutions (legacy players).

Strategy: Focus on what we control (customer need, risk/product appetite), using Ideal Customer Profile and MEDDPICC frameworks.

2023 Results: $3.2M+ net revenue, 42 go-lives, 120% of target, with clients like Interflora, Allopneus, Rail Europe, and LVMH.

MARKETPAY

Head of Sales (Europe)

dec 2019 - jul 2021 (1.5 year)

Marketpay aimed to offer payment processing services outside the Carrefour network. I joined the executive committee to help separate the payment processing entity from Carrefour, establishing it as an independent company. I built a sales team (5 AEs), defined the value proposition and market positioning, and introduced the new entity and its offerings. I also contributed to developing three new products: SoftPOS, PISP, and on-us acquiring.

Challenge: Our solution was entirely dependent on third-party providers (Ingenico, Monext), impacting our roadmap and pricing.

Results: Despite having no product to sell, I generated $500K+ in net revenue in H1 2021 by leveraging Carrefour’s solution.

CREDIT AGRICOLE CONSUMER FINANCE

Operations director - Payments (France)

apr 2018 - nov 2019 (1.5 year)

Credit Agricole Consumer Finance specializes in consumer credit, offering payment solutions like credit cards and installment plans. I managed operations for payment solutions, overseeing partnerships with Visa, Mastercard, and Worldline, and led a team of 35 with a €13M budget.

Challenge: Legacy technology and strict compliance hindered innovation, while buy-now-pay-later players emerged.

Results: I led the launch of a BNPL product, driving an 85% revenue increase compared to 2018.

AMERICAN EXPRESS

Head of Payments Consulting (France)

May 2013 - Mar 2018 (5 years)

I led a team of 4 payment experts focused on maintaining and growing technical acceptance with merchants to support business expansion.

Results: I contributed to grow merchant base by 60% (via partnership with Credit Mutuel), deployed contactless payment on French merchants, and launched Apple Pay.

Sales director (France)

May 2007 - May 2013 (6 years)

I built a sales team (7 client managers + dotted line to ≅20 service reps) to manage small and mid-market merchants.

Challenge: This segment (70% of the merchant base) had been unmanaged for years, leading to a decline in active merchants.

Strategy: Developed a new value proposition beyond acceptance, launching Resoclub.fr (an online platform for small merchants) and marketing packages for mid-market.

Results: 5% increase in active merchants, with 35% of mid-market merchants enrolling in marketing.

Maintain and grow acceptance within a portfolio of large merchants (SNCF, highways, travel & entertainment).
